How to submit a request on behalf of a patient? (proxy request)
Some patients may be unable to create their own Anima account, or would prefer not to create an account. Plus, patients may continue to ring or visit the practice to seek help for their requests.
You can still manage these patients' requests via Anima by submitting a request on their behalf (a proxy request, or an 'e-lite').
Here are the steps to show you how:
Click the purple “Create Request” button at the top right of your Anima dashboard.
Search for the patient to see whether they already have an Anima account. Select whether you want to search for the patient's details using their NHS number, or by their name.
Assuming the patient has an Anima account, you can click “Begin request”. If not you’ll need to follow the instructions above in this document for "Creating an Anima account for a patient if they don’t have one”.
Click on Admin, Medical, or Simple query and take them through the questions over the phone.
Ask all the questions which come up on the screen - these are designed to gather the information which the practice needs to put together a management plan for the patient.
