How to verify patients manually
How do I know that requests are only from patients registered at our practice?
Anima will cross-check the information that patients submit when they register for an Anima account against the NHS personal demographics service (PDS), to verify that the patient is registered at your practice.
If patients create an Anima account with details that are different from the EHR (SystmOne/EMIS), we won’t allow the account to be created until someone at the practice manually verifies the patient. For example, a patient signs up to Anima under the name “Joe Bloggs” but the name in the EHR is “Joe Michael Bloggs”, the patient will need to be manually verified. Here are the steps to manually verify a patient:
How do I verify patients manually?
Click “Patient Management” in the main Anima dashboard on the left hand side column
Click “Manual Verification”.
Double click the patients you want to verify.
Verify the details via your EHR (EMIS/SystmOne) or manually update and click “Verify”.
