Patient app & Access

We are in the process of introducing a new streamlined patient experience to access and respond to messages sent by your practice through email or sms, without having to create an account or login to Anima. instead, patients will receive a special access link and can see the message/respond by verifying their date of birth.
The following message types will be part of this experience: a) Direct messages with reply enabled, b) Updates sent to the patient about their request, whether to review or acknowledge a management plan, c) Requests for more information from the patient
Please let us know if you wish to enable this for your practice and stay tuned for more changes to patient access in the coming weeks too!

Telephone appointments are now aggregated as morning/afternoon /evening slots when displayed for booking by patients

Coding

We have more than doubled the size of our code database from 700k to 1.7M codes. This should improve compatibility for a large number of codes for both SystmOne and EMIS
A large number of new codes have also been added to the problem code and context code search bars
Codes that practices have requested for a long time have all been incorporated into this index.
Please reach out to support if you still get a "This code is not supported" error

Messaging

SMS quota usage by each site in your PCN can now be seen from the “Organisation management” screen
Questionnaires can now be attached to messages sent via the toolbar
The design and content of all emails and SMS sent by Anima have been updated for greater clarity and patient user experience
Date of birth is now required alongside NHS Number for sending a message to patients; whether patient details are imported or entered manually.
