How do I access my Anima account after it was created by my GP practice?

Step 1. Get to the Anima patient website

Go to your GP surgery's website and click on the "Anima" banner. You can also click here.

Step 2. Attempt to log in to your account

To start, this is what your page should look like:

Enter the same email address that you used when speaking to your GP practice, or the email address that received an invite to Anima, and click or tap on continue with email. If you do not know this email or did not provide one, call your GP practice to update your account email address. Do not log in with NHS login, after logging in with your email, you can optionally link your account to NHS login in settings.

Step 3. Check if your email or password are already setup

There are three possible pages that you will now see, please read through each to find your version.

If your email address is set up but you have not set a password, your page will look like this:

If so, you can continue to step 4 below.

If your email address is not already associated with an Anima account, your page will look like this:

If so, you can call your GP practice to update your account email address. Only create a new account if you know that your GP practice has not already set one up. When your GP practice adds your email, you can continue to step 4 below, or repeat from step 1 above.

If your account is already set up, your page will look like this:

If so, you can enter your password and click or tap log in. If you forgot your password it or are having trouble using it, you can read our article: I’ve forgotten my Anima password or reset your password.

Step 4. Set your password and log in

Go to your email inbox and find the email we sent you from authenticate@animahealth.com. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam or junk folders and make sure you entered your email address correctly. This is what the email should look like when you find it.

Click or tap set my password to get brought to a page that should look like this.

Enter a new password that is least 8 characters, and a mixture of upper case letters, lower case letters, and numbers. Then click or tap set your password. If your password meets the requirements you will be automatically logged in to your account.
